Meet Our Ministry Leaders

Hi, My name is Jim Calicutt and I'm the Pastoral Care Leader at New Day Fellowship.

A lot of people don't fully understand what a Pastoral Care Leader is. To explain it as simply as possible, I work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. My goal is to make all, whether it's your first time with us or you have been coming for some time, feel God's presence and Love as a congregation. I've served the Lord for around 59 years and have held pretty much every job in the church except pastor. I don't feel like I'm the best, but I try to be dedicated to everything the church asks of me. 

My heart's desire is to be all God would have me to be. God has done numerous things for me, including healing me numerous times. At one point, I was in a head on car wreck, and I died but God brought me back.  Even though at times I've wanted it my own way I've discovered that God knows what best for us. I've been a foster parent for nearly 30 years and have raised 33 children as well as raised my biological son and I'm very proud of him.

I had been at the same church for a long time  but I felt like God was doing something powerful at NEW DAY and I knew I wanted to be a part of it.  I knew where God was leading me. I love it here and God has really blessed me here.  NEW DAY is  like my family. I love them and would do anything for them.
