Meet Our Ministry Leaders

 Hey everyone, what's up I'm Michael! 

I am humbled and honored to serve at New Day as Youth Pastor alongside my Wife Dezarae. My heart is to help grow and cultivate the generation of today and tomorrow with authentic relationship with Jesus, as well as give a voice to kids without one while helping to meet the needs of our community. Our God given call is to help lead students through the twist and turns in life and allowing the word of God to show us where to go and how to live in an ever-changing world. 

Back in 2017 with the birth of our first born, I began to see there was more than just coming to church and that church should not be a chore.  I didn't want my kid to grow up in and environment of "have to". Because we don't have to do anything, we get to. But I didn't understand at the time what that meant or what it looked like, but I knew I wasn't satisfied with church as usual. I believe church should be like home, a safe place where family and friends come together.

 It's my heart's desire to create an environment that does just that for today's Youth. To give them a second place to call home where we worship God, judgment free, and allow the word of God to transform our lives into what God would have us be. While I cannot promise a perfect place, I can promise that we strive to show Jesus and all he has done for us! I have 2 wonderful kids that I'm grateful for. Thank you for taking time to read this.
